BLOG HOP!!!!!

For the first time I am doing a BLOG HOP!  This blog hope is something different. What I need to to do is go to Trudy, she's next, and grab her letter after you grab mine. If at any time you missed a letter or you just need to go back, I will give you the links back to the past blogs.

Our theme is CELEBRATION and I chose my Birthday! I just turned 40, on May 8th. Yes that's me with my BIG cheeks! I was always called Chuckle Cheeks by my parents. I was 2 here and if you from Michigan, the cake was a Saunders cake.....the kind my Mom liked. Not what I liked! I have always been a Cherry Chip gal, and YES they still make it in a box!!!

I thought you might like a "boy" card this time. Boy cards are so hard to create. Im not sure why and I have heard other people with the same problem. This is a Hidden Message Card, http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/hidden_message_slider/.
What I did was to find some of the brightest, and bold, colors I could find. It didn't help that I found these cool monster papers at Michael's Crafts. OH don't forget to use a Digi Stamp or any rubber stamp out there. As you can see I didn't do it to specks but I wanted to do something different. Not plain old plain old.

As for the hidden message, well if you bought the card, the message is yours. I seem to do all my cards that way. It's really weird, people don't like that.

Now down to the HOP...
I am after Judy,http://prairiewildflowerpapercrafts.blogspot.com/, but before Trudy,http://truesgiftsfromtheheart.blogspot.com/ . She is the next gal you should go to. By the way....How did I get stuck in the middle?!?!  My name doesn't rhyme with their's!   hahahah

Here is my Letter........Y  YUP, the letter Y, As in YUP, YEN, YUCK, YUCKIE, YARN, YO-YO, YARD.....Oh that right I have to plant some flowers today!  haha.

I hope you have enjoyed your blog hop with me today.

Good luck and have fun....
Lisa

How about some beer?  lol

I did this diecut a long time ago but it was not a card. So I just spruced it up and this is what I got.

Oh this was for a high school friend that turned 40, yes before me, and the theme was beer!!

Enjoy this cold one!

Today I am going to show you how to "slide" your diecuts. I have added the snail file for you at the bottom of the page.

What you are going to need is your diecut, a buckle that is made of card stock, a piece of paper long enough to fit your card, glue and a card.

Place your paper through the buckle, make sure the paper slides through. Glue the buckle to you diecut. Let it dry and then try again to see if the paper slides through the buckle.

If that is dry, glue the two edges, of the paper, to the card. I used double sided tape for that.

After that I used a Fiskas grass punch to additional green paper to cover up the slider. Now you are going to need stickers, stamps, or my diecuts to add "flare" to your card. I ended making mine a birthday card.

Hope this works good for you and you can create some really cute cards like this. I even made a balloon card like this where it floats up.

Have fun and enjoy....

Hello everybody!

Not many of you know but I am part of a Yahoo Group called the EasyWishbladers. Today is my "Tips and Tricks" day and my tip for you, since Im such a cheap a**, is showing you how you can use Tulip brand Puffy Paint, or Fabric Paint, on your cards and paper instead of Stickles.

In my photos I have a picture of a snowflake, which I have added for you to cut. When you have your snowflake cut, take the white puffy paint, or fabric paint,  first and go around the edges. Leave wet and then go around the edges with the glitter paint ON TOP of the white. Place it somewhere safe and and by tomorrow it will be dry.

I have added two different photos. One of the finished snowflake, with white added, and another photo of just using the glitter paint. Yes this is a photo of my last cutting file.  :)  Scroll down a bit and grab it if you haven't already.

These bottles, Tulip brand, are 4 US fl.oz which I paid about $2.00 a piece. While Stickles retail for about $3.49 and you only get 1 US fl.oz.

Hope you have enjoyed my tip. My next Tip and Tricks will be on April 17, if I remember  lol.

Today I am gonna show you some of the cards I have been working on. Its getting close to Easter and I have a show on March 24. Keep your fingers crossed for me!  :)  I was also thinking about decorating a "pillow box" and put some candy in there. What do you think?
This is a stair step card

This is the same card squished together so you can see that I make them with a scene.

This is an easle card. The yellow is a felt ribon that I covered with glitter.

Come back on March 6th. I am going to post my latest file.  :)

Today is the day before Valentines Day. So what do you think you will get? You know they are saying on average men spend $180 dollars on their gal but I can tell you I personally have never dated or married that man!!!

This is the card I made for my man. Now its not the finished card because it would just be my luck he would finally look at my blog!  haha  I used Puffy Paint on the rose. It's much cheaper that glitter glue and works just as well.

So enjoy this Heart Corner and use it on your love or wedding cards.  :)

This is another contest I entered. Not sure if I'll win. I just wanted something different.

The lady, Lori, who cut this out for me said the text is kinda funny. If it is on the version you pick, you are more than welcome to fix it or choose a different font. Just please, have the text in the same area.

Also you don't fold it. It is one piece.  :)

Hope you like it, I know its something different. More coming soon!  I just have to cut!  :)
