Sorry......

Sorry guys for me not writing. See 4Share, where you download my files, makes you download at least 4 items every month. Today is the 30th and I am kinda waiting for the new month. I know...how silly. So just wait for 2 days. I think I have some nice things coming.

Have a happy weekend...

Memorial Day

I would like everyone to take a moment and thank a solider, police person and/or a fire person if you see one today. They all bust their bottoms for us everyday.

Flowers

Here are some flowers for the cards I was making. The GSD is only of the stem but just think of what you could add to it....

Well I have kinda come to a snag. I put in my application for a craft show. I was told that there were others with the same selling item and I needed to look at other booths to get an idea on how this works. 1.) I have never done this thing before 2.) I want you to look at my cards, not my booth 3.) I think she was being "nice" by saying there will be other cards there. So to me this means my cards are not the best. ( I am an artist and I always think negative of my own works)

I now have two choices. 1) I can just quit. Swallow my pride and move on 2) Keep making cards, check out other people's booths and try again. I'm just not sure what I should do.

Thanks for letting me vent/cry. I will just keep making Robo files for you to enjoy right now. :)

Hugs, Lisa

Need Help.......

I found out my neighbor, Merrill Guerra, is selling cloths for our not so small girls. This is her in her shop.

I too was "not average." I was teased really bad. In first grade I was taller than everybody else. By second grade I was wearing deodorant and smelled like flowers while no one else did. My chest started to grow and this did not help with the teasing. Third grade I was wearing 2 undershirts to hide my growing chest. Fourth grade was swell! This is when we were learning about "health." You know the food pyramid etc. Our lovely teacher brought in his scale from home. I refused to get on, knowing I was "bigger." He told me that if I didn't get on, he would call my parents and I would be punished. So, being 8 or 9, you listen. I got on the scale. I was over 120 pounds while all my friends were between 70 and 90 lbs. I was wearing a womens 9/10. But that's nothing to what would happen next. The summer before 5th grade, I was 9, I started. Not knowing what was happening to me, my Mom was waiting until the 5th grade talk, I cried all Summer. Summer I was fine but then I had it at school and the stories get worse. :(

As you can see, by my picture, I was and still am a "bigger" gal. This is a picture of me on my 8th birthday.
As you can see I'm not the "normal" size. Today is no different. If you so by the silly chart the doctors give you, I'm huge! I am about 5'6". So by the "charts" I should be 130lbs. I just got checked, for body fat, at Curves. They say I am 41% fat. FAT? Have they considered my DD? lol Have they considered my calf's that are HUGE but all mussel? lol

So if you have a daughter with Chuckle Cheeks, I was called that, please check out her site. If you live in the area, Ypsilanti, please visit her store. This is a store I wish I had years ago.

Thank You Card from Mom

How about a thank you card to send to all your children that made your Mother's Day one to remember?

As usual, I used a white, blank 4x5.5 card from Michaels. Fold at crease. Cut off 1/2 inch on the front of the card then pick a border punch. I used a Martha Stewart one, and punch the front bottom. Then find a color you like and cut it to a 1.5"x5.5" strip. Glue that in the inside but make sure it, colored strip, matches up with the bottom edge of the back of the card. This way the card becomes 4x5.5 again. Cut and paste the Thank You where you wish.

Send it in the envelop that came in the package.

Enjoy, Lisa

Mothers Day Cake

If I could bake all the mothers out there a cake I would, but I can't. So here is something just as good. You can use this for Birthday's too.

This is a card that I made. I found that cute paper and glued it on to the blank white card. I cut and glued the cupcake together. Then I glued, the cupcake, it with foam tape to give it depth. After I created the card, I decided it needed a cherry. I used a gem but you can use anything you wish.

Happy Mother's Day to all.

Mega Meet

Is anybody going to the Mega meet in Michigan this weekend, may 8-10th?
Here is the website.....

http://www.megameet.com/

I will be going there on Thursday, May 8th. This is my Birthday and I am treating myself to some fun. I will be there all. I have 3 classes and I am doing the crop at night. Since nobody around me scraps I am doing this by myself. So if there are any scrappin' friends out there that will be there, especially at the crop, I would love to meet/join you.

Let me know here so I can find you. I am going to wear my Tweety shirt. He is working out with a head band and leg warmers, so you can't miss me.

Hope to see you there...

Happy Birthday Mike!

Today is my hubbys b-day. He is 39, yes he really is. :)

He is a HUGE Star Wars fan and I bought him the Star Wars Family Guy DVD. It's gonna be a long night. lol

This is a card I made for him and I was wondering if you have a fan, this would be a good card. I used a font called Star Jedi that I found for free.

Hope you like it,
Lisa
