This is it!

Finally! 2008 is over. There has been good and bad this year. Bad being that my father is retired from Ford and my Father-In-Law is retired from GM. If they go under, so does their pensions. I hope 2008 brought good for you but will bring better for 2009.

I decided to give you another candle. I know, I know you have one but this one is silly, maybe abstract. It doesn't have to be Christmas, but yet it can. If I made these and placed them on a card, I would add glitter to "spark" up the candle or the flame. Maybe both. Anyways I thought it was different looking.

I know this is a horrible joke, but see you next year! haha

Happy New Year,
Lisa

How Many More days?

How many more day till the big guy comes? No I'm not talking about my husband, but I might be talking about yours!!! lol

There are about 2 more weeks of this crazy fun filled month and I have 2 more files to share. Do I give you the better of the 2 or do I save the best for the last week? Then again, the last week of December is boring. The holidays are gone, the snow isn't and we are stuck paying the bills. So how about the best one now? Don't get me wrong, I like both of them but you know one has to win.

I just want to let you all know that I will probably not write on my blog until next week. My family and I would like to wish, you and yours, a Happy Holiday. I hope you get all the gifts you want this season. I want Funtime Software 2009 but I'm holding my breath. If any of you reading this know my hubby, pass it on. He never listens to me, maybe he will you. lol

Happy Holidays

9 More Days......

9 more days to go, unless you live somewhere other than the US, until the big man comes. Has he seen me when I'm sleeping? That's really sick. I have seen what my hair looks in the morning.... Has he seen me when I'm awake? That's called stalking.... Does he know if I have been good or bad? SHIT! What do I do now? So I guess I should be good for goodness sake.

I hope you have been good too. So far......

Another Christmas GSD for you to use. I thought he was really cute. I see I messed up thought. You need to tilt his eyes to the right a bit. I think the piece will fit better. So many things are going on this month that I don't know if I am coming or going. Do you guys do Facebook? well you should. It's just another addictive thing we all can do. heehee It's all free and I am finding friends from long long ago. If you ever go there, look me up. Im Lisa Manderachia. Just let me know so I don't reject you and think your spam. lol

Hope you all are doing find and pulling out your hair too for the holiday season.

Going Nuts!!

I'm going nuts just in time for the holidays! I have finished 3 GSD's with one completely cut. That's the one I am giving you know. lol

I'm usually more organized than this, especially during this time of the year. I have not even finished X-mas shopping yet and this is not like me.

Here's your holiday frame and I hope it turns out cute for you too. One day one of you will send me a photo showing me how you use my GSD's but for now all I can do is dream....

Yes I'm still Alive......

Im still here. As stated before I wanted to wait until my Mother-In-Laws B-day was close to download her card. I did get the clip art from a Thanksgiving site but I thought since she had a cake in her hands she could be used for B-day too. Something different. I have not yet seen anything done in the Laura Ingals/Holly Hobby theme.

Just to let you know the picture is what her B-day card looks like. I raised the little girl with DOUBLE the foam tape. For some odd reason she looked better with a shadow. Oh the size of the card was 5" x 6.5" so if you just cut the girl out right as I have her in the GSD, that's the size you need/I used.

Hope you like her.

Where Have I been?

Where have I been? Well I have another card/craft show and I have been trying to make cards everyday. This will be the last show of the year unless someone around my area knows of any other shows out there. Here is a few I have been making....

Happy Birthday Beth

Do you guys remember my long time girlfriend Beth? Well today is her B-day, yes on voting day. lol Hey sometimes my B-day is on Mother's Day and this year my Brother-in-Law's B-day was on Easter. At least my B-day is not on Leap Year which would put me 5 or 6. heehee

This is the card I created for her and I'm passing it on to you. I don't think I am going to get as many downloads as I did for my house, 105 as of 1:08pm, but I think it's kinda nice for all ages. You might not be able to see the colors because of my leaf background. If you need the JPEG please e-mail me and I'll send it to you.

So Happy Birthday Beth and may all your wishes come true.....As long as you include me with that cabana boy in the Caribbean wish I, I mean you have.

The Day After......

Who has candy left? I do but the best part is my hubby and I picked out what we wanted and gave what we didn't like first. lol Hey, we paid for it!

I took several pictures so you can see how I decorate. Nothing huge. I have so tired that I just haven't wanted to decorate.
All the kids were nice this year. That's good because some years past the older kids have been mean. They stopped Trick-o-Treating about 7:45pm and it was warm here so I'm shocked they didn't stay out longer. So the dog and I packed up all the decorations and we are waiting for Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday to put up the Christmas lights. It is supposed to be in the 70's here and now's the time! It's tough to want to put up lights when there's 3 feet of snow and it's colder than cold.

Please enjoy my photos while waiting for my next GSD file.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I though I would save my best creation for last. I have had this since last year and I have been holding on to it until the right time. You can take the ghost and cat out and use the house plain. Maybe for a welcome home card/page. The stairs I had to use a FINE tip Sharpie to define them. I also did it for the ghosts face and the trees

Hope you all enjoy this Haunted House! Have a wonderful and safe Halloween if I don't talk to you again.

Would You Like to Fly Anywhere?

Would you like to fly anywhere? I would. I would LOVE to go to Sheffield, England. It has been my Mecca ever since I was 17. About 20 years now. Due to technology, my husband did take me to Sheffield once! He did it through Google Earth. lol

I hope one day you all get to your Mecca but for now this Witch is just there to terrorize someone or something.

Here Ya Go.....

Since I have been trying to give you new GSD's on Monday and today is Wednesday, I thought I would give you something small. The cat's eye's make him scared due to some Halloween prank or maybe he is just a scare-dy cat all the time. You can use it either way so this makes it a GSD that can be used all the time.

Have a good day and wait until Monday and yes it is cut!! haha

Oh No!!!!

I though I had this weeks file all cut and ready to go, but it turns out that I have not even finished it to even cut out!! I'm soooo sorry and I guess I have some things to do. lol

So instead you will get a lovely picture of my sister and I at Halloween. I thought you would not be mad at me for no file if I send you a silly looking picture. This was in 1974. So I was 2 and my sister, Leslie, was 5. She was in Kindergarten so I assume this was her outfit for school.

I promise I will finish the new GSD ASAP!

Not So Good.

Thanks to all of you that sent encouraging notes but it was a bomb! boohoo. I really don't think it was me. There was what I call "veterans" and they said they would never come back. The show stunk that bad. In 2 days I made $24 and my table was $45. I'm lucky I have a hubby that says don't worry and I LOVE him very much. Though he yells back and the dog doesn't. haha Friday was "senior" day. Everybody over the age of 55 got free flu shots and lunch. Oh did I mention the free goodie bad too? All they did was look and wondered what was free. I was selling my cards for $1-$3 and was told $3 was to expensive. All I can say is Oh Well and pray that the depression pills keep working. lol I think I am going to keep going. The "veterans" gave me some good ideas. I might be to late for the Christmas crafts shows but summer will be here faster than we think.

So you all are like shut-up and give me my GDS. That kinda sounds like a STD doesn't it. haha

I think today, since I'm giving you an STD, I will go with Witches Bottles. So don't open them up! You never know what I placed in them!!!

Wish Me Luck!!!!

Guys,

Keep your fingers crossed for me. Today, and tomorrow, are my first days selling my cards. I'm really scared and my belly is doing flops. My Mom will be with me, that's cool. We'll have fun. We always laugh till we pee and someone has to be at the table at all times. So in another way...I'm really glad she going. lol

Hope you are all "Booing" your neighbors. You know...the one's you like. haha If not, I tried to find the cutest ghost for you and maybe one of you little goblins might be a ghost this year. I would love to see all your little goblins pictures. They are always so cute. I should add some of mine. They are to funny. That was back in the day where you made your own costume. Now that's SCARY!!!! I don't know if you noticed but I change my "profile" picture. That's me in 1974. I was1 and a half.

Ok guys. I'm off to sell cards. Please keep everything crossed for me!! haha

You've Been Boo'd!

YOU'VE BEEN BOO"D!!!!!!

Print out the poem below or make up your own, gather a few treats, and make a little sign that simply says "BOO" on it. Then put them all in a little treat bag or basket and leave them on someone's front steps - don't let them see you!

BOO'D
(When you open the file, you need to zoom out)

The air is cool, the season fall,
Soon Halloween will come to all.

Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore...
Tricky witches at your door.

The spooks are after things to do,
In fact a spook brought this "Boo" to you!

The excitement comes when friends like you,
Copy this note and make it two.

We'll all have smiles upon our faces,
No one will know who "BOO"ed who's places!

Just two short days to work your spell,
Keep it secret, hide it well.

Please join the fun, the seasons here .
Just spread these "BOO's" and Halloween cheer.

Old Friend

Guys,

I had an old friend hunt me down the other day. We have not talked in 10 years and we left on sad terms. That's him on the left and I in the center. Who's the guy on the right? Well we wont get into that. lol My old friend's name is Mike and I gave him the nickname of Stanley. Why? There is a story behind it but it's to boring. The main reason is we were 17 and crazy/silly. We were soooo silly that for my B-day he bought me leopard bra and panties so for his B-day I bought him a leopard jock strap. lol I remember he asked me "What he was going to do with it?" Ok don't read on if your a prude! Mike hung it from his cars rear view mirror and put about 3 castetts in it. hahaha CD's were not really around then which is good because I don't think they would fit! lol

OK, just to let you know that this picture was taken June 1990 at our Senior All Night Party

So if you miss your old time friend, try to find them and give them a BIG hello. They might be missing you back!

Thanks for finding me Stanley!
Love Ya, Lisa

Doggie Part 3

What is going on? I tried to DL him 3 times and the page timed out. So I decided to DL another one of my files, from the 4 shared website, and that was fine. I just don't get it.

So lets try this again. I deleted the dog file from 4 share and I re-downloaded it. I am going to add the GSD to THIS post.

Sorry I did not fix this sooner. I have been real busy and I am lucky I have hair left! lol I am going to try and sell my cards at a craft show on October 3rd and 4th. I am soooo crazy that I am making cards in my sleep. The cool part is that I try to remember the dream and then make them the next day! heehee So hang on until the 5th maybe I will do better.

As usual, if this GSD link doesn't work give me a scream or email me. I check that daily.

My Newest

My newest creation. I was hoping that the buckle would "slide" but no such luck. I think it's because I made it soooo big. But if I didn't then the text would not have cut, it would have been to small. I used Shamcil font that you can get for free, just Google it. :) I like the way the "S" kinda has that X-mas feel.

Sorry I can't give out the GSD because I used Mary's http://mamawslegacy.wordpress.com/, buckle. Thank's Mary. My family will like this card.

Hope I got your juices flowing and you can create a buckle too.

Nerd Test.....

I found this test on another site and of course had to try it. I am a 33 which means I am not nerdy but I do not get out much! YUP that's me. I'm married and 36, I don't want to get out much! I did that in high school when I looked good and had a body like DAMN! lol Now I am sick, I take steroids and have "plumped" out. Hey I'm married and if I want to get into my jammies at 3pm I do. If I want to go through the McDonald's drive thru without make-up I do. Isn't that what drive thru is for? So I don't have to wear a bra when I get fast food!!! lol

So all you older, curve-a-tious women join me and say who cares! lol Arn't you a nerd anyways when your child turns 10?

The icon's to the right if you want to find your score.

Digi Scrap

Im trying it again. lol It seems like I keep trying and trying with no luck. It is discouraging like the Craft Robo software but this time I still have hair. heehee I don't think I did bad for my 2nd page ever. I found a website, ET Scraps, that has a challenge going on with the paper, frame, words and kimono created by Amelia 7410. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not going to win the million dollar prize but maybe 50 bucks?

Any Who, I love saying that, tell me what ya think. At least it's not cheesie, it's stir fryie. I know, I know that was BAD!.......I get it from my father. Hugs Daddy.... :)

OUCH

OUCH......MOM! I know you guys have heard this more times than you can count and someone needed a band aid GSD. The funny thing is, when I was trying to find a band aid clip art do you know what I kept finding? Do you remember the band Band-Aid? Remember the song "Do They Know it's Christmas?" from 1985. Aaaaa I still love that song. I keep asking XM Radio to play it in July for X-mas in July. heehee They never have yet for me.

Just to let you know, this file also comes with the band aid it's self. 2 files for the price of one.

I also would like to thank you all for letting me vent a few days ago. You know I even had one woman say she was sorry and it wasn't even her that I was complaining about. That's a true friend, a person who loves our works! Thanks Anna (Mima)

You guys have a non-booboo kinda day!

We are having problems.....

Guys,

We might be having problems. My files have mostly been traced from FREE clip art. Most of them do not even have a creator so I share them with you. Now on to my problem...

PLEASE.......

DO NOT share them as yours.
DO NOT mix-up my files and claim that it's yours.
DO NOT add several of my files together and say that you did all the hard work. By this I mean do not add 34 "suns" on your page and say that you created it. Heck don't add my sun, duck, and crayon on one page, maybe as a collage, and say it's yours.
DO NOT erase my name and post it on another site and say it's yours.
DO NOT use my works it in a swap. Even my easy files like the "sun." I am part of many Yahoo Groups swaps and WE ALL work very hard to create our works. I know I have busted my butt to do something neat in a swap. I swap it and when the swap has been shared, I share my creations with you.

I do all the hard work. Putting all those silly little boxes around corners for people to erase my name, alter the works and say it's theirs. Speeking for my friends and I..... do you know how bad our first finger and wrist hurt making these files?

Anyways, if this keeps up I'm going to close down my blog. Yes, the rotten apples might ruin it for all. The sad thing is I LOVE doing this. Just ask my really good friend Joanna, http://bainsbits.blogspot.com. Poor girl she has heard it ALL from me and I have never even met her before. Thank you Joanna. I do love you so.

So just use good judgment and let your morals win.

Lisa
P.S. You guys know who you are and I have "sneaks" all through Yahoo Groups, and other places, that are keeping an eye out.

Summer Love

Have you guys noticed that since Google changed their blog that you can't add tools like you could? I can't add FIDGET. I like to know where you guys come from. I think it's neat. :)

Summer is at it's end and you will all hear me complain about snow again. Ho Hum. Does anyone want to adopt me? Now you have to live where it's warm and I think I can get my hubby to send some of his paycheck every two weeks. lol Oh I have a toy room so I will be bringing ALL my toys. That's not including my craft area. The best part is I share and let me tell you how much paper I own..... heehee Maybe I should take some pictures of my craft and toy area to see if you really want me. :)

Since I LOVE warm weather I though I would send a card to you of love. This is one of the cards I will be trying to sell. I think it's very generic. You could send it just because or you know Sweetest Day is coming soon. I have also saved the "love" part and I will use it on another card.

Well that's about it for today. Have many things to do.

I even asked if I could buy a box. heehee I was told if they have a pack of 25 up high, they'll sell it to me. They also have their "stacks" on sale for $9.99 and some of their older ones are $7.99. I won't be able to get there tomorrow, I'm going to an air show and not the fun ones, so they better watch out on Monday. haha

YELLOW!!

Who loves the color yellow? ME!! I have always been nuts for the color. It may have been my mothers doing. Looking at pictures, I was always dressed in yellow. My Mom says it matched my hair. Anyways see the picture of the yellow oven. WOW! It is made by a company called Bertazzoni and The Great Indoors are selling them. Oh did I mention they are about $3500.00. I have No money for that price, but it is cute.

Since you guys are waiting for some files and I still do not have any black paper, I'm still being cheap! I decided to do....you guessed it, things that are yellow! The crayon was just glued on some scrap black paper I had so don't think it's that bad of a cut. It is that bad of a cut with scissors. lol

Have a sunshiny day!

Another Month

Another month and closer to my Summer being gone. I hate it! I hate snow, I hate to shovel, I hate how my bones hurt from the cold. I have 11 more years and I'm out of here. I have already told my hubby. Though he is not to happy I think I may have gotten him. We watch Cops here on Saturday night and they are usually in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. I noticed that these bad people's house have rocks as their lawn! Front and back!! So no mowing is looking really good to him. So we buy TONS of weed killer. It sure beats mowing!

So where are the files? Well I have been busy and I am out of black paper for the backgrounds. When JoAnn's put's it on sale, I think I will buy a box. :) I just don't want to pay 2 for $1 when I can get their sale for 6 for $1.

I thought I would show you guys a TIP or TRICK today. The photo above is a plain white card, any size is good. Now find your favorite PAPER doily. I got mine from the dollar store, pack of 25, and make sure they are PAPER so you can just throw them away when your done. Now I taped down the card with BLUE painters tape. That stuff doesn't stick nor pull the paper off. Now place your doily, in any direction, on your card and use BLUE tape to tape that to your desk top too. Now get out your pastels/chalks and those silly brushes. Get that pastel/chalk dust on your brush and in a swirling motion color the "holes" of the doily. My doily was a heart so I used mauve color and I did the inside and outside of the doily so you could see the shape.

I thought one day if I ever sell these cards, they would be cute for Valentine's Day or just Love. If I didn't explain my tips well, just leave me a comment and I'll do what I can.

Let's hope JoAnn's has black paper on sale tomorrow. lol

Let it Snow.........

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

This is going to be my last post for X-mas in July. I hope you all had fun! You know, something different.

The creation I have today is a card. I found this as a JPEG somewhere and I just thought it was to die for. I need to tell you a little problem though. I have placed dash lines in what I though was the center, for you to bend the card. Well........one side is about 1/8th longer than the other. So instead of refooling around with the whole card what you need to do is place the black pannel on the larger side. Bend the card so you know the black paper is lined up with your edge. Now trim off the excess white paper. The card will now be equal on both sides.

As some of you know I am on several Yahoo Groups and I put my GSD's there too but can you believe I am running out of ideas? I have no kids and I have finished most of my scrapbooks. So you can see I am just doing this for the fun. Do you need something created? Can I help you in anyway? I will not do any copyrighted items. :( Sorry for that.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your X-mas in July and I will see you in August! :)

My husband just came across this site and sent it along. Guess who made the top super rich? Yup you guessed it.......Santa Clause. Now mind you this information is from 2006 but I'm pretty sure this list is still the same. Hey Oprah has been on top for years.....

How Time Flys.....

Here is the second to the last Christmas in July die cut. Boy how the holidays do fly. haha I like this tree, as clipart, because it was different. It fits differently on the black outline. Now what this picture kinda shows is I used this stuff called Glitter Foam Paint by Deco Art. I was hoping it was going to be white with glitter but it's clear. Trust me it looks cute in person. Did you know that you can use Puffy Paint on paper? You know the kind you use on T-shirts and I bet it's cheaper than a "scrapbook" item. So enjoy this silly but not so Charlie Brown silly Christmas tree.

Week 3

Boy I guess I should have do something with snow. lol It is steamy here and it's only going to get worse tomorrow and the next few days.

I chose this candle because I thought it was cute. I know that this is Christmas in July but this candle is so versatile..... You can use it for Hanukkah or if you alter it a bit and take off the snow, I thought you could use it for Birthday.

You need to becareful when you cut the stars. I think I need a new blade but they cut pretty good. They are VERY small if you keep them the size I did.

You all have a good week and have a cool week! :)

Week 2

Happy week 2 of the Christmas in July. Are you guys tired of the Summer yet? I bet the friends in Australia are, but then again it really doesn't get that cold there. lol Here are some ornaments for you to use. You know I was thinking, if you change the colors you can use them for your Chanukah pages too. I was also thinking it needed some "sparkle." I love glitter but I'm not sure where to put it on the ornaments. If you have an idea, let me know. :)

If I don't post sooner, have a good week.

Bell Card

This is the first of 4 Christmas in July. I think it turn out really pretty. Cut the card out, per GSD. Now I used my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. I have said it before and I will say it again, these pens are the bomb. The glue flows like butter and it is a fine tip. Then I used JoAnn Craft Essentials fine glitter. I bought the glitter in a HUGE compartment jar, well that's what they call it, for $6.99. Of course use your coupons and it doesn't hurt as bad. :) I sprinkled the glitter on and this is what I got. Now your card will look like a "templet." Maybe I will trace then color the bells. Eithe way just make sure you do not write a message that will show through the bells.

Oh These bells look great as a wedding card too.

Christmas in July

Have you guys ever heard of this? We don't give gifts or anything. :( We don't decorate like we do in December. So why we say Christmas in July is clueless for me. Maybe I should Google it... Oh look, I did...heehee or should I say HoHoHo.

Christmas in July, alternatively Holiday(s) in July in the United States, is a party concept exploited as a marketing opportunity. It generally occurs during the month of July coincidentally near July 26, the feast day of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.

In Western culture, Christmas occurs on December 25. With Christmas generally comes gift-giving and much holiday cheer. During the summer months in the northern hemisphere, the weather becomes increasingly warm and many people crave the atmosphere of cooler temperatures, gift giving, and holiday spirit. To satisfy this craving, some people throw parties during the month of July that mimic the holiday of Christmas. Features of Christmas in July include Santa Clause, ice cream and other cold foods, and gifts. Often nightclubs host parties open to the public.

Technically, if one wanted to hold an event to mark the halfway point in between consecutive Christmases, one should hold the event on June 24th (midsummer in Europe Nativity of St. John the Baptist for Catholics), which is seven days before the month of July. Thus, theoretically, the name should be "Christmas in June". However, Christmas and December are generally equated with colder temperatures and in the Northern Hemisphere the average temperatures in July are generally higher than those in June, thus the name Christmas in July is appropriate. In addition, the Scandinavian word for Yule is Jul, which happens to be the abbreviation for July in English. Additionally, July is the seventh month, seven being an important number in Christian doctrine.

All I know is EVERYBODY makes it a sale here. It doesn't matter if you are buying flooring, windows, or even underwear, there is a Christmas in July Sale. For this month I have decided that all files I share, will be in the way of the Christmas holiday. I might throw in some snow. I'm not sure yet.

If I'm not busy, I'll post my first file.

Hugs, Lisa

Cut and Fold Heart Pattern

Have you guys ever been to this web site? http://www.handcraftedgreetings.com/ If not, you must go. I have been in contact with Judy, one who designed this pattern, and she has let me create a GSD so we don't have to use a craft knife.

She has done many other patterns, which I would LOVE to create and that I may add here one day. I ask you PLEASE do not create one of her patterns to a GSD file and share it or blog it with out her permission! You would not want someone to do that to your file/pattern so please do not do that to her.

Here is the link directing you to the Cut and Fold Heart Pattern. Here you will find the "how to" on creating this beautiful card. http://www.handcraftedgreetings.com/valentineinst.html

Thank you Judy again for letting me share your creations. :)

My Trip To Sonic.....

Most of you have a Sonic near you but in Michigan they are no where to be found. I see them all the time on TBS and yes the commercials are dumb! lol I had a grape slush with the ice cream in it. YUM and fries. My friend had a burger and a normal cherry slush and she thought it was good too.

Hope you get a kick out of the pictures. Can you tell I took them myself? lol It must have been the burn I got on the boat earlier that day. :) The last picture is of my best-est friend Beth. We have been friends since the 1st grade. I don't know what I would do with out her. Love Ya Beth!

Oh, the GSD is the lizard that is on the card from a few posts ago.

Have a good Sunday and please laugh at my pictures.

Here's some pictures

These are some of the pictures I thought you might want to see of my trip. This place was soooo beautiful and coming from boring Michigan, I did not want to leave. For my friends that don't live here you don't understand. When My friend, Beth, and I were driving I-75 North I saw an orange sign saying Mowing in Progress. I have never seen that sign in my life. When we finally get to the Michigan border you can tell we have not mowed in a long time. The weeds and grass were as tall as my chest and I'm about 5'6". As usual, we are told "budget cut's" are the reason. I think that every person in government needs a "budget cut" to their salary! :)

Anyways......this GSD is of the dancing Kokopelli. I didn't cut it out to show you but I got and trace it like the last one.

Enjoy.....
